Detailed information

Product detailed description

Vegetable Tikka Masala with rice is a delicious meal that captures the essence of traditional Indian cuisine in a light and compact package. The dish features a hearty mix of vegetable medley such as green beans, peppers and sweetcorn, all enveloped in a rich, aromatic tikka masala sauce made from a blend of spices including cumin, coriander, turmeric, garam masala and ginger. The sauce is creamy and mildly spiced, with a hint of piquancy from the chilli peppers.

The rice is fluffy and fragrant, serving as the perfect accompaniment to soak up the flavourful tikka masala sauce. The freeze-drying process preserves the flavour, texture and nutrients of the dish, making it an ideal choice for camping, hiking or emergency food storage. Simply rehydrate the dish with hot water and it's ready to enjoy, offering a delicious and satisfying meal with all the vibrant flavours of Indian cuisine.

What are the benefits of freeze-dried food?

Appearance – freeze-dried foods retain their original shape and texture, unlike air-dried foods, which shrink and shrivel due to the high processing temperature. Just add water and in minutes the food returns to its original form.

Taste
- They taste just as good as fresh. Freeze-drying removes water, not flavour. So freeze-dried foods retain practically all of their flavour, vitamins and nutritional content.

Weight
- They weigh less than fresh. Freeze-drying removes 98% of the water from food. This significantly reduces weight, making handling easier and reducing transport costs. For example, 10 kg of strawberries weighs only 1 kg after freeze-drying - one tenth of its original weight! However, they can be quickly rehydrated back to their original weight.

Long shelf life – freeze-dried foods can be stored for several years at room temperature without any damage or deterioration. Shelf life of 7 years from the date of manufacture.

Low storage costs
- because they can be stored at room temperature, they do not require expensive cold or refrigerated storage facilities, making storage much cheaper
