Okatsune the 301 is the pure essence of shears:

The curved blade length of 25 mm allows the scissors to work better in tight spaces. And it also reduces the possibility, when harvesting fruits and vegetables damage.

The blades of these Japanese harvesting shears (Saika Basami) are uniquely forged from the highest quality IZUMO YASUGI steel and have a very high Rockwell hardness of 59 to 60. The blades therefore remain sharp for a long time and consistently provide a clean and precise cut in the wood without much effort. In addition, the Okatsune combines hardness with special flexibility so that the cutting blade is always in line with the counterblade even after intensive use.

The blade is ground at two angles, so it cuts through wood smoothly and does not damage the plant unnecessarily. Thanks to the unique shape of the hollow ground blade, the sap drains from the blade and the blade does not split. The V-shaped spring ensures that the cutting load is evenly distributed along the length of the spring, allowing for gentle closing. Okatsune 301 is not suitable for cutting branches.
